This is going to be a short post. It’s that time of year where there are a million things to do, but we still only receive 24 hours in each day. I mean really, at least in Star Trek they have 26 hour days.
What would you do with an extra two hours a day? Sleep? Lurk on Facebook? Actually do something productive? I bet most of us wish it would be either the first or last one, but it’s probably the middle suggestion that would win in the end. Or maybe the standard work day would just be extended.
Moving right along…
Missy Moo continues to be a very active and mobile baby. For the past couple of months, she has made it clear that she is eager to walk. She’s not quite there yet, but she certainly is determined!
I really wouldn’t be surprised if she manages to take her first unassisted steps at some point over the holidays.
Right now she’s getting a good sense of balance, but she doesn’t have the confidence to simply let go and try to take a few steps. She’ll side step along the couch and she’ll stand holding on to something and sort of lunge towards me. I think when she does it’ll be during a moment where she’s distracted and doesn’t even realize she’s taking a first step.
We’re not rushing her by any stretch. We’ve had more than one person tell us that once she actually starts walking that then we’re really in trouble! And the way she speed crawls and managed to get into everything, I whole-heartedly believe them!
At this point it’s baby steps… See what I did there? Ha. Enjoy your week.
