Mommy Musing – Bunny needs a smock

Posted on July 8, 2015 Posted in 2015, Baby, Musing Monday, Parenting, Products .

If you haven’t met Bunny yet, the most important fact to keep in mind is that he’s kind of a big deal.

Bunny is Missy Moo’s “lovey”, her “stuffie”, her comfort toy, etc. He’s basically her best and most important friend and companion in the world.

Confession: we currently have four bunnies that we switch out and so far she hasn’t gotten suspicious except for a couple times where we magically had two bunnies and one quickly disappeared.

Mommy Musing – #SheilasBrush

Hey look Sheila! I found your brush.

Hey look Sheila! I found your brush.

So few updates, yet so much to say if I could just find the time… Ah well, no point dwelling on what has or hasn’t happened.

Monday was the Mid-March Holiday (aka St. Patrick’s Day), but it was also a day where a huge snowstorm hit many parts of the province.

Some of the folks online were insisting that Monday’s storm was Sheila’s Brush. Some voices online felt otherwise. I didn’t really care what it was called, beyond “OMG 30+ cm of snow?!”

Mommy Musing – One Week

Posted on March 7, 2014 Posted in 2014, Baby, Musing Monday, Parenting .

It’s been one week since I returned to the 9-5 working world. I have to say that coming back on a Friday was perfect because it gave me a chance to ease in and then enjoy a weekend with my little family. That way, this past Monday wasn’t an overwhelming start to my first full week. In the future, I think I would do it again or even return on a Thursday.

Mommy Musing Monday – It’s Curtains for you Little Miss

Posted on February 17, 2014 Posted in 2014, Baby, Musing Monday, Parenting .

Anyone who has seen Missy Moo in the last 3-4 months is likely aware of the fact that she is this close to walking. She can balance herself in all sorts of ways and she even tries to climb on things. I caught her the other day balancing on one foot on this dinosaur toy…

Apparently the dinosaur’s tail is great for standing on…

I’ve been warned that once she actually starts walking, we’re in trouble. She already managed to get into everything and it will only increase ten-fold. The other day, I put herself in her pack ‘n play while I did some things in the kitchen. She was in an extra mobile mood and I needed her contained. I was working away and looked over to see what she was doing. “Huh. That’s odd. I don’t remember putting a while blanket in here with her… wait a minute!

Caught in the act

My little ghost so very pleased with herself.

Needless to say, the pack ‘n play is no longer as close to the drapes and curtains.

It’s an understatement to suggest that she continues to keep us on our toes… and she’s not even fully walking/running yet!

I’ve started calling her Monkey Face because of the things she’s trying to climb or manages to get into. I should have some examples to share soon. Stay tuned.

Next week: One year – how did the past 12 months fly by so quickly?!

Mommy Musing Monday – sniffles and sneezes

Posted on February 3, 2014 Posted in 2014, Baby, Musing Monday, NL, Parenting .

It’s been a busy few days. Not because of social engagements or volunteer commitments (although both are often enough to keep us going). No, instead we’ve been dealing with teething (of the molar variety) and some sort of viral thing that’s left Missy Moo feeling pretty miserable.
