Good lord. It’s been over two years since I last updated by poor old dusty blog.
**Warning: as a means of overcompensating my embarrassment, I encourage you to read the majority of this post with a sarcastic tone/voice.**
I’m ashamed to say I cannot come up with an epic story to explain the reason for such a long dry spell.
I got nothing. Nada. Zilch.
Oh wait, may be I do have a few things…
Alright, let’s see what I can recall, some highlights perhaps, from the last two years:
WAIT A MINUTE!!
Is this really what you want to read ? Me regurgitating stuff from the past two years. Me desperately trying to come up with entertaining or dramatic bullet points in hopes of providing some level of entertainment? Me attempting to get back into blogging and alienating you before I even start?
Why??
Why, after two years, should I try to cram anything significant into a post as if I’m trying to add in some sort of written montage to help fill in a time jump? I’m already setting myself up for failure because there will be self-induced pressure to try and remember the best of the best. If something is missed, I’ll feel crappy. And anything that is listed will probably need details and explanations. Why not just dedicate a short post to some of these highlights if they’re worthy enough of a mention.
While I am currently on maternity leave (BTW if you’re not aware, we added another #MiniMiddleton to the population back in May) I’m trying to work through some books on productivity and other professional development topics. I think a question that continues to come to me is: “why?” Such a little word, yet full of possibility, opportunity and stress.
If you’re familiar with Gretchen Rubin’s The Four Tendencies, then it should be pretty obvious that I am a Questioner. Read the book. Trust me.
Now I’m rambling…
If you are still reading, congrats! I appreciate your continued attention span. As a reward, here’s an amusing video…
Until next time, and I promise you won’t have to wait two more years…
