I originally had a completely different post in mind for today. It’s not fully written and is in fact in a notebook of mine. But life happens in the form of mommy duties and family emergencies… so I’ll save the other topic for another day.
I’ve mentioned to a few friends and family and Missy Moo has started sleeping on her side and also her stomach. This child is definitely keeping me on my toes though because when she sleeps with her face almost completely down, I’m constantly checking to make sure she’s still breathing!!
When she was first born, we (mainly ME) went through the paranoia of checking to confirm that our little one was breathing away. Once she was moved from the bassinet in our bedroom into her crib in the nursery (at around six weeks old), I often found myself staring at the video monitor to see that little tiny chest go up and down. The monitor has been one of the best baby products we own and I highly recommend that if you’re going to get a baby monitor, get a video monitor. You don’t necessarily have to shell out a lot of money either. In fact, the one we have by Uniden was only $99 at Costco.
Until recently, I wasn’t as concerned about her breathing (but I’ll still check now and then).
But seriously child – MUST you sleep on your face?! Oh my nerves!
im glad i wasnt the only mother who stared at the kid to make sure they were still ok, she is a real princess <3 Your a great momma
Thanks lady! I think it’s a normal parent paranoia and sometimes it’s hard to break!
