Where have the months gone?! My maternity leave is 3\/4 over. How did that happen? In just four months my daughter will be one-year old!<\/p>\n<p>I think we&#8217;re starting to get into the\u00a0<em>separation anxiety<\/em> stage that babies often enter into around the <a title=\"Baby separation\" href=\"http:\/\/www.babycenter.ca\/a6577\/developmental-milestones-separation-and-independence\" target=\"_blank\">10 month+ mark<\/a>. Little miss has been hitting some milestones early and she&#8217;s very socially active, so I&#8217;m going to assume that some of her recent behaviour is just a normal phase that we&#8217;ll help her through.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Recently, we&#8217;ve had days where I cannot leave the room or she will suddenly get upset and yell; not stopping until I&#8217;m pretty much a face length away from her. Or if I&#8217;m not sitting on the floor while she plays, she does this wailing &#8220;ahhh ah ahhh ah ah&#8221; noise that she can keep up for hours on end.<\/p>\n<p>And some days, she wants to be up in my arms, practically climbing up my body so that she&#8217;s hanging over my shoulders. I&#8217;m serious, I don&#8217;t think she can get any closer to me when she does this.<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t mind it, and it&#8217;s nice to get some snuggles and feel loved. It can certainly leave me exhausted by the end of the day and it also makes things challenging if I don&#8217;t have lunch already prepared or if there are things I need to prep for dinner.<\/p>\n<p>Today was one of those\u00a0<em>OMG don&#8217;t leave me or put me down for even a second<\/em> kind of day.
