About a month ago, I saw our family doctor and talked to him about the fact that Missy Moo was eating a lot (as in wanting a 5 oz bottle every two hours some days), yet was sleeping through the night (around 6-9 hours). I was in NO WAY complaining, but wanted to ask him if we should possibly try giving her some cereal to help her increased daytime appetite.
He recommended that we start putting some rice cereal in her bottles twice a day. We currently give her a teaspoon of cereal with some extra water in her bottle twice a day.
Two weeks ago, her appetite seemed to be back with a vengeance. I was at our doctor last week for a follow up on a few things, but he was away and some other doctor was filling in. She didn’t really want to talk about the current cereal intake of my daughter and instead was fixated on the fact that breastfeeding didn’t work out for us. A disastrous appointment that left me feeling crappy and full of guilt. I doubt she meant to cause my final feelings, but it happened. Lets move on shall we?
Last Monday, I decided to give Missy Moo cereal from a bowl and with a spoon. An interesting attempt by us both! I did a lot of laughing.
And the following day I gave it another attempt in the morning. She mainly just played with what cereal did go in her mouth, but she was definitely interested in the spoon.
As always, she keeps us on our toes and ceases to amaze us everyday.
thanks for sharing the video, it def brought a smile to my day
I’m glad it made you smile. :) hugs to you.
