The second half of this post’s title is of course from this song, by 50 Cent. There are two reasons for that title.
The first reason is that today is my birthday. Meh.
I enjoy my birthday, but once I hit high school, it seemed to have less of an epic annual impact. Probably because in high school my big day was always a week or so before our final exams started; so not a whole lot of time to par-tay.
I don’t mean to sound like a Scrooge or party pooper; I’m just not one to expect anything big anymore.
Maybe I got that out of my system when I was little since we usually had three (yes three) birthday parties for me. One for my school friends, one for the neighbourhood kids, and of course one for family (cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc.). It was always so much fun! Perhaps I’ve overindulged in birthday parties and am detoxing in my old age??
The second reason for this post is because while I’m not exactly a small fry as I stack up to five feet and six inches of awesomeness… I suspect I will be looking up to my daughter in years to come.
You see, Missy Moo has another nickname: Sasquatch. Seriously, the lower appendages on this child are no small feat (see what I did there?).
At her two-month check up, we found out that she’s in the 54th percentile for her height/length. That doesn’t seem like a big deal, but it’s just a general public average and in my opinion kids today seem to be getting bigger and bigger!
When she was born, we noticed right away that she had very cute long fingers and rather large feet! They’re adorable feet that I want to nom whenever I see them… Yes I want to nom her feet and toes. But not her toenails. Yeah… baby toenails… that’s a topic for next week. Come back next Monday to hear my thoughts on baby toenails.
