Anyone else out there have multiple tabs open? I’m guilty of this on a daily basis.
But I’ve learned my lesson when it comes to leaving video links open. You close your browser forgetting it’s there, you start a new day at the office and open up your Internet browser (not knowing that your computer’s sound is probably on) and suddenly you’re bombarded with music or someone speaking loudly, or who knows what. Heck, it’s often an ad for something random and not even the video you were watching the day before.
Then you do the mad mouse fail…
Quick! Where’s the mute to mute my sound?
Can I find the guilty tab and close it or pause the video?
Can I talk loudly and crack a joke to cover up the sound to divert co-workers’ attention from listening to the video?
Like a lot of us, I need a better method of bookmarking things I find interesting. I’d prefer to have something reliable. I was bookmarking a few things on my iPad, but with the recent iOS6 update, I actually lost all bookmarks that were saved. Not sure why it happened, but it’s rather frustrating. Glad I didn’t have many links saved!
Bookmarking suggestions are appreciated! I use multiple computers and tech platforms (Android cell phone, iPad, PC at home, different PC at the office).
If you use one browser exclusively, ie chrome, firefox, safari… all those have options to store bookmarks in the cloud and are able to be accessed across all your devices. Chrome would seem to be a good bet for you, with an Android phone.
there’s also Stumbleupon….
Thanks for the tips Jay!
Chrome will sync your bookmarks across your pc’s and iOS. I would assume there is something for Android as Chrome is a Google Product.
Thanks Aidan! Sounds like you and Jay are on the same track. I’ll have to do a little more research. I’ll confess that I’ve been a lazy end-user in this area.
What?? I have to have my comment screened before posting!! This is outrageous!!! :)
Ha ha. Yes Aidan, your comments are specifically screened. ;)
But seriously, it’s amazing how many spam comments would be up some days. I have filters, but it’s like it comes on waves.
I’m with Jay and Aidan. I use Chrome too. No matter which of my three laptops I use, all my bookmarks are there.
